BPL conference agendas are famously iterative and - as such - are always a work in progress. The below is intended to give you some sense of the flow of the conference to help you plan accordingly; however, we reserve the right to alter the route before the conference begins (or even in the middle of it!) so please plan accordingly and be sure to revisit this page for any updates.

Explore Learning Beyond the Classroom
Join us in New York City for our annual Leadership Summit, where the City becomes the Classroom. Throughout the week, leaders, educators, and mentors will explore real-world learning in action—connecting with schools, communities, and one another to reimagine how education can thrive everywhere.
Monday, January 26
Welcome to the City

Arrive in New York and kick things off with pre-conference sessions (TYBO Pre-Con) and registration, followed by an evening reception to connect with fellow leaders and set the stage for the week ahead.​

Tuesday, January 27
Day 01: Kickoff & Connection

Start the morning with breakfast, followed by our opening plenary held at the historic Apollo Theatre Complex—where stories of innovation and future-ready learning take center stage. Then head into the city for school visits and workshops that bring the “City as the Classroom” theme to life. End the day with affinity and planning sessions.​

Wednesday, January 28
Day 02: Learning in Action

Spend the day exploring NYC schools and communities. Observe advisory in action, meet students and educators, and experience learning beyond the classroom walls. In the evening, join us for the Dinner & Awards Celebration, where we'll honor the students, educators, and community partners who continue to shape BPL’s work and the wider world of education.​​​​​​​

Thrusday, January 29
Day 03: Reflection & Closing

Close out the week with breakfast and mixed advisory time. Together, we’ll reflect on what we’ve learned, share insights, and imagine new ways to make every city a classroom.​
