The M.R. Brezler Service Leadership Award - named in honor of BPL's recently retired, longtime Chief Operations Officer - was created to honor women leaders within the network who put the goals of others above their own agenda. Servant leaders often go unrecognized in their selflessness, but are nonetheless essential to the success of their school or organization.

As Dr. Martin Luther
King, Jr., is famously quoted: "Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve." For this reason, your nominee need not be your school's Principal or Chief Executive. We seek to honor women who lead from within, not from on high.

This year's Service Leadership Award will be celebrated in person at Big Bang 2026 in Dallas.

Nominate a deserving leader today!

For context, consider: In what ways does this person put the school or organization's interest above their own agenda? How does she effectively lead without commanding attention?

This person may be asked to have a speaking role at Big Bang should they be selected. Please speak to the nominee's experience and/or comfort speaking in front of larger crowds.
