Big Picture Learning presents
Deep Roots, Bold Future: Learning from Big Picture Learning's Founders: - How did The Met and Big Picture Learning get started? Hear the real stories, the trials and tribulations that led to 30 successful years. You'll go deep and get personal with our co-founders - Elliot Washor and Dennis Littky - and have a chance to interact with first year students and staff. We'll visit some important sites around Providence to see how our history provides a deeper understanding of the practices and philosophies that define Big Picture.
($250 p/person)
You are invited to arrive early to take advantage of Anniversary pre-conference opportunities available. Please add these as part of your registration process. Additional charges may apply.

Rookie Advisor Bootcamp - MET Style: - The MET staff have long held a summer institute specifically for new Advisors joining the school team - so that they start the school year with a deep understanding of BPL's distinguishers. Now you have a chance to go through the same practice, delivered by team from the mothership itself. Held on The MET campus, you'll get to experience a snapshot of an onboarding that typically lasts for several days. We'll partner with students to dig into their interests and processes for developing academically rich PBL opportunities.

Keynote Experience:
A Visit to the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel
Advisory is the beating heart of BPL Network schools and, as such, it's at the heart of our conferences as well. You'll form close bonds with between 10-20 folks, attend your Leaving to Learn together, and perhaps even return to for advice moving forward.
After registering, make sure to download the BPL Events App for a full rundown of our available Workshop Sessions, but know that they include Deep Dives of BPL Distinguishers, Problems of Practice Sprints, Affinity Gatherings, Partners Sessions and more!

We invite all Big Bang attendees to join us for this year's Keynote Experience - an evening excursion to what has become a holy ground of sorts - the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Museum. The Museum seeks to honor and preserve the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. - turning tragedy into reverence - while telling the story of the American civil rights movement alongside the ongoing struggle for human rights everywhere. What's past is surely present. We hope you'll join us for this important pinnacle of this year's Big Bang experience.
